- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantialteaching experience.
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENDCO)or willingness to complete it within 3 years.
- Strong leadership experience in SEND, includingmanaging interventions and tracking progress.
- In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practiceand statutory compliance.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multi-agencyprofessionals (e.g., therapists, local SEND services).
- Skilled in developing inclusive teachingstrategies and supporting classroom staff.
- Experience delivering staff training and leadingwhole-school SEND initiatives.
- Ability to analyse and use data to inform SENDstrategy and interventions.
- Deep understanding of a broad range of SENDneeds: Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, andleadership skills.
- Committed to removing barriers to learning andimproving outcomes for all students.
- Capable of managing and developing support staffteams (TAs, HLTAs, Behaviour Mentors).
- Familiarity with assistive technology andadaptive resources for student support.
- Willingness to take a strategic and operationalrole in school-wide SEND development.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence, patience,and resilience in challenging situations.

Further details about the role This role sits within our leadership structure, reportingto the Assistant Headteacher for Additional Needs. - Leading SEND provision across the school andensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
- Managing and developing a team of TeachingAssistants and support staff

- Working closely with parents, carers, andexternal agencies to secure the best outcomes for students
- Ensuring high-quality EHCP implementation andreviewing processes
