The role

Atom Learning is looking for a Product Designer to join the design team!

You will work in an agile environment to rapidly create user-centered designs through research, wireframing, prototyping, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility, while maintaining a high standard of UX and UI.

Experience is important, but we’re looking for a person with the right mindset: proactive, motivated, design-lover and a team player.

What you will do

  1. You will develop wireframes and high-fidelity mockups to effectively conceptualise and communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours.
  2. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help define feature requirements.
  3. You will be the product designer within a cross-functional development team. Plus you’ll be part of the wider Product team, who you can rely on to share and collect feedback on your designs.
  4. You will work with your Product Manager to architect the short and long-term vision for the education experience.
  5. You will contribute to a positive and collaborative product design team culture.
  6. As an active contributor in the Product team, you will share approaches and ideas to improve ways of working.

Who you are

  1. You LOVE being a designer and have excellent attention to detail.
  2. You have a portfolio of work demonstrating a history of creating customer-focused, simple and intuitive designs from product discovery to continuous improvements.
  3. Proficiency using the latest design tools, including Figma and user testing tools.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to present to, influence and take onboard feedback from other Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and the senior leadership team (SLT).
  5. Ability to define and drive your priorities and requirements to reach your goals, with input from managers and other leaders.
  6. Ability to drive usability research to test design concepts with customers.
  7. Experience working on design projects in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team including designers, product managers, and software developers.
  8. Experience working within a fast-paced, agile environment.
  9. Familiarity with research methodologies and turning customer feedback into actionable findings.
  10. Experience designing responsive websites and apps (mobile, tablet, desktop).
  11. You have a passion for improving people’s lives through quality design.
