Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a brilliant idea’s person and highly skilled Content Creator to join our brand team. This is an exciting new role where you will be responsible for producing engaging and innovative content that supports our paid social and brand storytelling strategy. You will plan for and create brilliant assets that amplify the many messages we share through our digital channels, including paid advertising, organic social, and our website. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing our brand presence, driving customer engagement, and ultimately contributing to the growth of Origin.
This is a fast-paced, creative role that requires a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for photography, videography, and motion graphics, and a strong ability to collaborate with external content creators who align with the Origin brand. You will be constantly generating fresh ideas to showcase the best of Origin and always thinking of ways to drive brand appeal to new audiences.
What You’ll Do
- Content ProductionCreate compelling, high-quality image, video, and motion graphics content for use across onsite, organic social, and paid social channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.Ensure all content is optimised for different digital platforms, with a strong understanding of formatting for social media advertising, website, and brand campaigns.
- Idea Generation & StrategyContinuously develop fresh, creative, and innovative content ideas that push the Origin brand forward and engage new audiences.Stay ahead of trends in social media, digital marketing, and content creation, bringing new ideas to the team.Work closely with the Ecommerce Brand Manager and brand and marketing team to develop content strategies that align with key campaigns and seasonal messaging.
- Paid Social Strategy SupportDevelop tailored assets for different campaign messages and audience segments, ensuring they are optimised for performance.Collaborate with the digital performance marketing team to understand the effectiveness of content and make data-driven adjustments.
- Photography & VideographyCapture high-quality content that showcases our coffee, people, and locations in an engaging and authentic way.Plan, execute, and edit photo and video shoots that tell the Origin story, ensuring a consistent aesthetic and brand voice.
- Creative Collaboration & External PartnershipsIdentify and work with external content creators to expand Origin’s creative output while maintaining brand consistency.Source and manage collaborations with photographers, videographers, and influencers who align with the Origin brand.
- On-Site Content CreationTravel to our coffee shop locations across London, Bristol, Edinburgh, and Cornwall to capture real-time content that reflects our brand’s ethos and customer experience.Ensure a consistent stream of fresh, engaging content from Origin’s key locations and wholesale partners.
- Trend Awareness & Performance AnalysisStay up to date with content trends, emerging social platforms, and innovative creative approaches to ensure Origin remains at the forefront of digital storytelling.Work closely with the paid media team to understand which content drives engagement and conversions, optimising future asset creation accordingly.
- Asset Management & WorkflowOrganise and maintain all creative assets, ensuring smooth production workflows.Ensure content is circulated and distributed to relevant teams for multi-channel use.Manage a paid content calendar, staying 1–2 months ahead of launches and campaigns.
- Content Repurposing & Audience GrowthRepurpose creative assets across platforms to maintain a cohesive and impactful brand voice.Proactively seek opportunities to expand the reach of the Origin brand, creating content that resonates with both existing and potential new customers.
What You’ll Bring
- A highly creative individual who thrives on developing new and exciting content ideas.
- Proven experience in content creation, photography, videography, and motion graphics, with a strong portfolio.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom), Figma, and editing software.
- Experience producing content for paid social campaigns across platforms like Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube.
- A deep understanding of brand storytelling and the ability to create content that aligns with Origin’s identity.
- Excellent visual composition, lighting, and editing skills.
- Experience working with and managing external content creators.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires frequent travel.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to work across multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
