Package: £80,000 – £100,000 + 100% OTE + Excellent Benefits

Role Overview

The Commercial Sales Director will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint within freight forwarding and broader supply chain sectors. This individual will be responsible for both new business development and strategic account growth, working with a highly engaged internal team.

The role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics or freight forwarding, combined with experience in selling complex solutions to enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition and strategic account development, focusing on enterprise clients in freight forwarding, shipping, and supply chain logistics.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs and industry challenges, leveraging insights to position market-leading AI-driven solutions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for market penetration and expansion.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers in the logistics and supply chain sector.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to ensure alignment with market demands and customer needs.
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Provide detailed sales forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales or business development within ocean/sea freight forwarding or supply chain technology.
  • Strong industry network, with established relationships across freight forwarding, ocean freight and logistics.
  • Proven track record in leading complex sales cycles, including strategic account management and new business development.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in forecasting, revenue growth, and sales pipeline management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
