About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and organised individual to join a team that is helping the entire advertising industry navigate the net zero transition. The Ad Net Zero Programme Executive will be part of the Ad Net Zero team based in London which services the Global Group supporters and our expanding international chapters, including the UK and US. The role will report into the UK Director and ensure that we encourage our supporters on their sustainability journey and feed insights back into the program to enact change.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the development and implementation of the Ad Net Zero action plan by tracking supporter progress and assisting with key supporter relationships.
  2. In partnership with the commercial team, coordinating the process for new supporter onboarding, inductions and the renewal of existing contracts.
  3. Running the supporter comms programme, including the creation of supporter emails, supporting Ad Net Zero educational webinars.
  4. Running the regular external comms, including LinkedIn posts, monthly UK newsletters, and webinar reminders.
  5. Supporting the wider team with ad hoc projects and tasks, including scheduling, recording basic videos and research projects.
  6. Assist with the organisation and running of key events throughout the year including the Campaign Ad Net Zero Awards and Leadership Breakfast.
  7. Coordinating and scheduling a range of important meetings, with internal and external attendees, often across time zones and organisations.
  8. Answering supporter questions and offering guidance and consequently feeding insights from supporters back into the program to enact change.
  9. Reviewing Foundational Pathway responses to inform the annual progress report and supporter reviews.
  10. Keep on top of the Ad Net Zero CRM system Nutshell to ensure the programme coordination amongst team members and International chapters is efficient and reliable.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have solid foundational experience within a sustainability-focused role, with demonstrable skills and experience in reporting. We are also open to candidates from the wider advertising industry, with a demonstrable interest and passion for sustainability, with relevant training (such as the ANZ Essentials certificate).

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Data analysis experience, with the ability to digest detailed annual and/or sustainability reports and extract relevant information for Ad Net Zero’s requirements.
  2. Proficient experience of using Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  3. Demonstrable project management skills.
  4. The ability to proactively manage their own workload, juggle a varied and busy task list, and diplomatically manage others when needed.
  5. Exceptional communication skills, particularly when speaking to clients / supporters.
  6. A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  7. Understanding and/or curiosity of the broader context of climate change and the way businesses can influence and participate in this.
  8. An appetite to further their sustainability knowledge, including attending relevant industry events, reading industry articles and reports.

Location: Central London (Hybrid)Salary: £30-33k (depending on experience)Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent*We are a hybrid working company – requiring employees to work in our Central London office circa 3 days a week (50% in total). Given the nature of the role, flexibility on working days and times may be needed to support member meetings and events.

About Ad Net Zero

In November 2020, the Advertising Association launched Ad Net Zero, an industry-wide initiative to help UK advertising respond to the climate crisis caused by CO2 emissions. Ad Net Zero’s mission is for immediate, collective industry action to help achieve real net-zero carbon emissions from the development, production, and media placement of advertising. In summer 2022, a Global Group launched and expanded the programme internationally, with immediate focus on the US market and now extends to 7 markets across the world.
