Aramark UK is excited to share a new role. We are looking for a Chef Manager to join our site at Hammersmith & Fulham College, sitting in our Education sector.

This is a term-time only position (40 hours per week, 7am-3.30pm), plus a couple of weeks over the rest of the year.

As Chef Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the unit: preparing meals, delegating tasks and leading your team to success.

You will oversee breakfast and lunch service for students and staff, in addition to managing hospitality and events. The site also has a coffee shop that is open all year round except for Christmas.

Please note this role will require an Enhanced DBS check.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager:

  • Hot and cold food production for both breakfast and lunchtime
  • You will be organising and coordinating hospitality – alongside leading the team to ensure tasks are appropriately allocated and food preparation activities are delivered
  • Accountable for stock flow and rotation of products
  • Direct and coach team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks, ensuring all training and development needs are met

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Recent Chef Manager experience, preferably within the education sector
  • A passion for producing good food
  • A willingness to engage with the students to enhance their experience within the catering areas
  • People management experience
  • Good client communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
