My client, a multinational defence company, is seeking several Lead Project Planners/Schedulers to join the business permanently, to support Project Managers using world-class project control techniques in the delivery of exciting and strategically important programmes across their Maritime & Land businesses.
The business has a drive towards professionalism, which includes support towards Chartership and further career development.
These positions will be based out of my client’s busy and secure site in New Malden (Surrey), with a Hybrid Working arrangement of 2-3 days a week onsite.
Successful candidates will need to hold SC-level security clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the vetting process to achieve this.
What you’ll be doing:
- Using your range of skills, you will support the planning, monitoring and control of projects which will range in size and complexity.
- Operating a project planning or scheduling system to work with stakeholders to resolve scheduling issues and formulate recovery/acceleration plans.
- Supporting the project resource demand profiles.
- Supporting the project team to analyse progress and identify schedule performance issues.
- Managing the integration and involvement with internal and external stakeholders and projects across various levels.
Your skills and experiences:
- You will need to have Planning/Scheduling experience demonstrated in a professional capacity in a project and have an understanding of tools and techniques.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying and using integrated schedule tracking and reporting systems/processes.
- Knowledge of cost control processes and the interface with scheduling.
- Knowledge across the full project lifecycle from engineering through to manufacturing.
