The Role:

We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the procurement of essential parts and materials. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting scheduled maintenance events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management – Oversee the purchase and provision of parts, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with stock models.
  • Supplier & Vendor Relations – Develop strong partnerships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and mitigate financial risk through strategic procurement planning.
  • Team Leadership – Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team, ensuring KPIs are met and staff are adequately trained.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration – Liaise with operations, maintenance planning, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless supply chain processes.
  • Stock & Cost Control – Minimise costs while maintaining a safe and efficient supply chain, proactively managing lead times and supplier performance.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • A minimum of three years in a regulated purchasing environment, ideally within the aviation or technical sector.
  • Strong background in purchasing, contracts, and supplier management.
  • Previous experience in team supervision with the ability to motivate and guide a purchasing team.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
